01 Who we are

Cryptobarter was founded by a small team of traders and engineers who were frustrated with the friction, fees, and lack of transparency in traditional crypto exchanges. We set out to build a platform where people could trade directly with one another, backed by a secure escrow system that protects both sides of every trade.

02 Our mission

We're on a mission to make peer-to-peer trading the safest and most straightforward way to buy and sell crypto anywhere in the world. Every feature we build is guided by three principles:

• Security first: Every trade is protected by escrow until both parties confirm the exchange is complete.
• Full transparency: No hidden fees, no hidden order books — just clear terms between traders.
• Access for everyone: A platform that works whether you're trading for the first time or the thousandth.

03 How it started

What began as a small tool for a handful of traders in a private group has grown into a platform used by people across dozens of countries. As our community grew, so did our commitment to building the safest possible environment for direct, person-to-person trading.

04 Why non-custodial matters

Unlike traditional exchanges, Cryptobarter never takes custody of your funds outside of an active, escrow-protected trade. Your wallet stays yours. We built it this way because we believe you shouldn't have to trust a company with your assets just to trade them.

05 Where we're headed

We're continuing to expand our supported regions, payment methods, and security tools so that more people can trade with confidence, wherever they are. Our roadmap is shaped directly by feedback from the traders who use Cryptobarter every day.
